seig x1 mini mill

Hi there,I am new to this so please make allowances.

I have a axminster mini mill I believe it to tbe a seig x1.

The problem is the mill wont start,when I select forward or reverse and turn the speed pot all that happens is the unnormal amber light comes on.The mill was fine when I last used it the motor has not been stallled and the fuse has not been blown.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
