Interesting to read but difficult to understand! Does it mean that those of us who are taking an ACE inhibitor have a reduced chance of contracting Covid19? Or have I totally misunderstood?

Please don't mistake me for an expert but the paper I found on the subject suggests a slightly lower risk.

Martin, thank you for the second paper. A very good and interesting read which gave me hope that the remaining brain cells still work. That "significant reduction in risk" should be more widely disseminated to patients, it might help to reduce the worry among older/at risk members of the population.

I've been taking vitamin D for a while now, the NHS has long been recommending using it in the darker parts of the year as there is less sunlight in the UK than needed for good natural vitamin D production. Reports are it may help keep the immune system running well and it will not hurt. Now the government are planning to give it out for the same reason (it's also cheap which is a bonus).
