I was intrigued to see the this rotary Rivet Setting tool.
Fast forward to 3:42 to see the tool in action. I’m particularly interested as I’ve been thinking about assembling my own custom SAK (Swiss Army Knife) and would much prefer to use something like this rather than using a ball pein hammer like others I’ve seen. The Rivet head sits into a brass collar so a traditional rivet setting tool may not be the best option. The tool itself seems to have a wobble to it so I’m not sure how it’s constructed. Any thoughts?

Can,t help with the mechanics but the correct terminology is Wobble Riveting machine. I used to buy the machines at a previous employment.

Same principle as the rotary broach.

Depending on the size of rivits you want to form Vic, I have seen several examples of modified SDS drill chisels which rotate and hammer the head at the same time, slight rotary movement of the handle is optional to get the wobble.

As Renardiere7 say so if you have a rotary broach tool it could be worth an experiment!

Depending on the size of your rivits you do see the Aircraft squeezers come up on the likes of ebay sometimes

                      https://glasair-owners.com/glastar-sportsman/how-to-builder-tips-glastar-sportsman/pneumatic-squeezer-tips/

If you put aircraft rivit tool into Google you also get a lot of air hammer based riviting tools.
