      Hi All,

I joined back in 2021, but due to a certain virus causing chaos, I found myself being evicted from my house so it could be sold by the landlord or re let at a much higher price to someone from the city relocating to Cornwall, as did a lot of other locals. This meant I had to put my lathe into storage until I found a new permanent (hopefully) home. I have recently managed to get it set up again and am looking forward to using it again.

It is a Fortis lathe built in Camborne by Holman Bros, which if I remember correctly was a copy of & sold under license the Clausing from USA.

I hope this time to have it in use for a good while to come.

          Welcome back!

Many a good tune played on an old fiddle.

So now you can go for it!

Nice to have you on board Mark. Any plans at this stage of what you might be looking at doing now you're back in business?

            regards Mike

Thank you all. I am hoping to make a few tools first and then machine some accessories for my Air gun hobby.

maybe advance to bigger projects later when I gain confidence and experience

Hi Mark. I used to live in Camborne, I now live in Illogan. I gave my large, old, American built lathe away when I moved. Sigh!

That’s a shame Lee, difficult decision to make & I very nearly did the same. I’m so glad I didn’t though
