o-ring fitting

I need to know what size oring and groove i would need to seal a tube ..

 

eg 16mm inside dia tube , with a 16mm plug..

what size groove would i need in the plug to fit say a 2mm cross section oring

and then what size dia o-ring would i need ..

is there an on line calculator etc.. anywhere ??

Hi Rik,

There was an article in issue 156 (Autumn 2009) of MEW about using “O” rings. That had information about groove sizes etc.
