Hi,

Has anyone any experience of building either of these models. The castings and plans are sold by Blackgates.

I fancy building a 3 cylinder loco with slide valves and these seem to fit the bill.

Any info. would be useful – their web site is no use- its permanently 'under construction'.

Flying Scotsman / Mallard in 3.5″

Build it with piston valves as Nigel Gresley did if you really want it to perform.
