          Bright Mild Steel Fabrication. So it will be made from pieces of steel that are then silver soldered together.

            Armando also has a query on teh radius for these wheels, I’m not a loco man so perhaps someone else can help

              From The Model Engineer’s Handbook root radius for the relevant gauges is given as:-
               
              Gauge RR
              63.5 0.9
              89 1.3
              127 1.8
              184 2.5
               
              all dimensions in mm of course.
