If anyone who can collect it from PE19 (between St Neots and Huintingdon) has a use for this motor, they are very welcome to it. It has a 5/8 shaft but it weighs about 22kg which is a bit too heavy for my purposes.
It seems to run well enough but more than that I can’t promise!
I dont need a motor right now, but I just want to say that I have an old Tuscan motor like that one and it has proved to be one of the best motors I ever bought. It has never failed and seems to have more power than expected, so whoever gets it will do well.
They dont seem to be around anymore, are they still being made ?
Hi, I’ve got a couple of these types of motors, which are flameproof, and were removed from a couple of scraped diesel pumps, which are class II. I think those used in petrol pumps, should be class III. These two are only rated for 1 hour like the one above.
The heavy construction and the absents of any air vents, tells you that they are flameproof types, so all the heat generated when they are running, has to be radiated away by the casing, which is why they are not continuous running motors.
