I have a lot of drills which have been collected over the years, most have been hand sharpened by myself. I use to hand grind drills to a very good standard when in the engineering days, some I've used lately from the 70s that leave no burr when drilling steel.
As my eyesight is not as good today and shaky hands can a recommendation for a drill sharpener be given. Are the electric type that sell for £30 any good or the £20 type that are used with the bench grinder.
I was thinking of making the Harold Hall grinding rest, but I've got other things on the go at the moment so I would rathe buy one. But if his grinding rest would be better than the ones I've mentioned then I will make one later, but I would rather buy one than make one.
Thanks Bob.
