Anyone got any tips for cleaning up steel to a bright finish after silver soldering.
I dunk in pickle( drain Cleaner) and then in clean water, cleans the flux off but leaves a dull grey / black finish on BMS. Is elbow grease the only answer and if so what abrasives do you use and how do people clean such stuff as small sharp angles, radii and corners please.
Have tried citric acid also but similar dull finish after pickling.
Many thanks
