Are these change gears?

These came with my myford ML4 and being new to advanced lathing I’m a little unsure if there change gears or not…advice appreciated.

I want to put them on eBay so need confirmation.

I have various sized faceplates,3 jaw and 4 jaw chucks,rest steady that are all surplus to my requirements

Not only are they change gears, but they are specifically for Myford ML1-4 lathes which had a linking pin to drive a compound gear set up; you even have the pin shown in one of them . ML7 gears are linked by a keyway in the bore.

To help a prospective buyer the need to ask, list the tooth count as well

Steve,

Your 3 jaw chuck is a Crown, they were often supplied with Myford ML1 and 2 lathes.

Prospective buyers will want to know if both inside and outside jaws are supplied; the mandrel thread fitting size and tpi of that thread. For those lathes I believe these were frequently 7/8 inch x 9 tpi but measure yours to be sure.

Just make sure you don't sell today what you need tomorrow, it will cost you an arm and a leg. Do you really want to sell for example the steady. A full range of tooling, change gears etc., add much to the value of the lathe.

I know I won’t need them Ian and don’t plan on selling the lathe.
