Arc closing down is costing me a fortune, bought a lifetimes worth of milling cutters at 50% off and now just bought another lifetimes worth at 75% off plus a few ER32 collets to complete my set for basically 70p each! I will miss them though.

I’m Sorry to see them go as well.

I found their catalogue to be invaluable as I didn’t know half of the stuff existed ! and I still like to sit down and read a catalogue – not sit and stare at a screen for hours.

Also to find most of the items I wanted under one roof at reasonable prices and quality.

Does any other tool supplier offer such catalogues ?

I think you might well be right, they do seem to be somewhat “active” in that direction of late .

They are still sending out emails listing items back in stock so maybe not planning to close anytime soon. I know ARC were running down their stock for the best part of a year, you only had to look and see that the popular stuff was marked as OS.

As for something to thumb through, MSC Direct have a fairly substantial “Big Book” catalogue that covers a wide range of items both Own drands and name brands. Cutwel do quite a few covering various products, the milling cutter one alone is about 25mm thick though you won’t find any imperial cutters or screwed shanks in there.

Hi, well I made my final purchase yesterday, (I think) and there isn’t much left that I want. But although I have most of their catalogues, I’ve never got round to getting the No. 11 one. Yes they will be mist.
