Hi all I am making an end silencer for an air rifle and I have joined the 2 pieces of metal together the top piece is steel and the bottom piece is aluminium. It has bolts securing it but I was wondering is there anything that’s like a mastic or filler that I could run a small bead of it along either side so that the screws in between can not be seen

JB weld, 2 part epoxy filler, P38 auto filler, Gorilla two part metal filler ( Dries grey&nbsp to name but a few, silicon sealant may do it but I've only seen it in clear, white, black, brown, usual disclaimer applies.

          George.

There is a polyurethane filler made for car body repairs, which is much stiffer than silicone, sticks like stuff and blanket, and unlike silicone is designed to be painted. As you only need a few inches rather than a whole dent-full, you might get a couple of squirts for a pint of ale at your local body shop.

              Cheers, Tim
