Sealant for bolting a dome casting to a model boiler

Can anyone recommend a suitable sealant for bolting down a dome casting onto to a 3.5ins gauge boiler flange with the customary thin (0.020″) model engineers gasketng material between the mating surfaces. I have tried red Hylomar with limited success but wonder if there are suitable alternatives out there. All suggestions gratefully received.

I add this really to see the reaction: Dispense with the gasket and use a Loctite flange sealant such as 515.

My experience with Red Hylomar has lead to problems in over tightening leading to the sealant being extruded from the joint as a result of going back for “one more nip”. Where am I going wrong?

Agree with throw the paper gasket away and use Loctite Instant Gasket.
