Hi all, I have just registered as I am in a bit of a hard place

I have a Adcock and Shipley Model 1EAJ which has the Motorised 20+ speed gearbox which has been butchered beyond repair

 

I am chasing any Information in pictures of a full rebuild and any Model 1E should be the same

 

I am also chasing the early gearbox which bolts to the bed and hope that it will fit

 

I also had a 2 year break from stripping the Mill to Now due to bad health and have 5 boxes of parts and a lot of I have no idea were they belong

 

Yes I did take photos originally about 3 computers ago and lost the lot even my flash stick died

 

So can anyone help with pics advice or a website were I may find parts as I am in Australia were parts are not easily found

Hi there is this the production mill with the fast forward slow down mill and fast back gearbox? The lead screw was a 3 start left hand acme ! think.

I have used the 1EJ but not sure if it was the same as the1EAJ.

Hi David, yes that is what I have got I was told it had 21 speeds so it was used for mass production

 

My drama in OZ is that I cannot find any body who has got any parts so have ben posting on all the sites I can to see if I can get a gearbox just like you have the 1EJ but have have no luck at all

 

Do you have any contacts or know of were I can get a gearbox ??? and could you send me some pics of your mill as I have yet to find a decent book or manual and all is done by looking at pictures

 

Did you do a full rebuild ??and take pics as you went as I did but my Computer crashed and lost the lot
