looking to purchase the most used indexable lathe tools 8mm square. Are the ones from china any good.?

Depends what you pay for them and where you get them from as to getting good bad or anything in between.

Got a budget of about £125 for about 4.

Base on what I tend to use the most shape and make

Right Hand for CC** inserts will both face and turn for general work

Right Hand for DC** inserts, mostly turning but will face for fine work and where tailstock support is being used

Facing tool for CC** inserts Make use of the other two corners of the inserts used by the first holder

Parting tool to mak eup a set of 4

Spend the rest on half decent inserts bot CCMT and CCGT for the first two shapes, you can buy in two's here so you can try a few different types, radii etc
