hobbymat motor question

Hi, Im new to the forum and have a question about my hobbymat lathe motor.

It has started sticking at start up but will run with a helping push.

I believe this can be the centrifugal switch so I have the motor out to check.

I have got off the fan end cover but cannot remove the pulley end cover and dont want to force it.

There is a brass part that hold the switch in place and again this will not easily move.

Any help as how to best dismantle the motor to get at the switch would be appreciated.

When I had starting switch problems I replaced the switch with a timed relay that switched out the start capacitor after approx two seconds or so giving time for the motor to run up to speed. No more problems

Thanks for the reply John. That sounds good, although I dont know how do that myself.

Ive been in touch with Tony at store lathes that do a conversion kit so will go with that as Im not knowledgeable enough to figure out the electrics side myself.
