SolidCraft seems to be improving daily.

I came across this 5 min video, which explores the Sheet Metal tools and it struck me as being quite impressive.

SolidCraft will be using a new kernel ported from the open sourced NVIDIA’s SMLib, so there should be significant improvements coming for blends, chamfers and shells, etc.

Yes, it looks very impressive but I wouldn’t use it for anything important just yet.  A recent update changed the way data was kept and made all earlier files you have saved unreadable!. While updates are coming so frequently, I would stay clear of it other than for testing.

I wonder if they will add CAM or FEM later?

          Russell.

As far as I am aware, SolidCraft is able to read files produced from previous versions.

I’m not using it for serious work yet, but having said that I’m not coming across any major problems either.

This picture shows the intended modules to be added. At the moment, Design and Render are available.
