Warco metal cutting bandsaw

Have had a Warco CY115NC bandsaw for quite a lot of years and has done sterling , went to cut a batch of studs opened up the vice it is one of these quick grip ones and it locked solid. so after much messing around took it off the bandsay and stated to strip it insides are nicce and clean but for the life of me cannot cannotget the self locking lever off to inspect further and I suspect the problem lies in there. is not much less to strip there is the piston (jammed solid) a spring, cam and a round casting.

Anyone out there able to give advice the chinese put it together so it must come apart.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciiated
