I have a startrite bandsaw most bearings are imperial sizes

however the blade guide bearings are as follows

      marked nachi 10bcs 1nsl

id 10mm (measured on the shaft it fits on)

od 26.1mm ( measured on bearing)

      width 11.5 mm

any ideas as to a supplier?

      Ian

Since its only a blade guide bearing. Would it not be easier to use a bearing you can get off the shelf. 10 26 12. Simply bearings have this size in stock.

Have you tried one of the specialist Startrite spares dealers there are a few who do parts for old machines, whats the model?

                Hi Ian,

You can get the Nachi brg you mention from RPM Bearing in Boca Raton Florida USA or RPM Brazil. However they have $500 min order qty. – not what you wanted I'm sure.

You can get a 63000-2RS1 standard bearing from any brg/industrial drives house in the world, many very inexpensively. This is the 10 x 26 x 12 brg Robert mentioned.

I have bought similar sized bearings for less than a dollar each, if they are a stock standard size, at surplus and industrial drives houses here.

                  Thanks for all your replies

I know that a 63000 is close but I was more intrigued as to why startrite had used such an unusual bearing

also these seem to be very expensive £6 for a budget and £12 for a brand name
