Hello,

I’ve no engineering knowledge but I’m looking for someone in the North East (England) to make a counterweight for me. I’m guessing they’ll need a lathe and a drill. It’s is for a metal detector that is too front end heavy. I need something solid and cylindrical to fit down a small shaft at the back and weigh roughly 0.5kg. There is slightly more to it than that but those are the basics. Is there anyone local that could help me? I live near Durham. Obviously I’ll pay you for your work.
