Milling attachment

Hi,

in my 1982 version of Ian Bradley's Myford series 7 manual a "shop made" milling attachment is shown in 2 places, fig 10.4 in chapter 10 and again fig 14.3 in chapter 14. Only a short paragraph mentions it in chapter 10.

My query is; does anyone know if this attachment was ever described in the ME or elsewhere?

The early copies of Model Engineer had articles about milling attachments.

Volume 95 had a Myford attachment. There is also more information in other editions but I cannot recall which one.

As Vol 95 was 1946 I would suggest that it could be a little early for the ML7 attachment you are looking for and also the series of articles was by Edgar T Westbury, writing as 'Ned' not Ian Bradley .

Ian Bradley wrote as 'Duplex' with Dr Norman Hallows and their ML7 milling attachment was described a few years later in the following magazines:-

Vol 108 Issue 2717

Vol 109 Issue 2719

Vol 109 Issue 2721

Vol 109 Issue 2730

This may be the one illustrated in your book.
