I think you may find that it was made by Boley (German)….the small lever far left under the spindle locks the compound and tailstock into the bed and was a Boley patent used up until fairly recently.

Value depends very much on both condition and what kit is with it…….this type of lathe depends very much on the all important collets for accuracy. From the look of the collets shown they are already rusted…..this is extremely difficult to remedy and leave the collets accurate, so sadly they do not help. Also, a motor will be needed. The large and ugly lubricators don't help to make it attractive either as they have been added, presumably in the UK. As it stands (and looks) perhaps up to £200 on a good day….with an ignorant buyer!

Hi Simon. My father had a Lorch LLK lathe which he bought new in 1965, I still have the original receipts. It was a superb lathe which he used for clock repairing to complement his watchmakers lathe. I only wish he'd passed it on to me instead of selling it.
