Can anybody tell me who used to (or even hopefully does?) produce castings and drawings for a 7 1/4" gauge 0-4-0 Peckett tank loco? I have unfortunately to dispose of a partly built one, for the widow of a friend of mine. Any information about it may help.

      Thanks Maurice

It might be worth contacting the Lancaster & Morecambe Society as there is a video of "Cygnet" a 7 1/4" Peckett 0-4-0 from that club on the Leyland society's Facebook page. **LINK**

Thanks Brian, that example looks very nice. It seems odd that I cant get any results for my search. I can remember a couple of people building examples of this engine, a few years ago. It would be nice to be able to offer the drawings with the bits when it gets sold. Have to keep looking!

            Thanks again Maurice

              Maurice,

I know nothing of the locomotive, but I just tried a Google search:

              peckett locomotive drawings

… and got lots of results.

Beware: Google likes to think it 'knows' what you meant … and is therefore likely to search on 'pocket' instead of 'peckett' … Just show it who's Boss.

              .

Edit: substituting 'castings' for 'drawings' gave results which included:

Maurice I thought it was a 71/4g you were looking for. I saw that one on GLR but had discounted it as it was 5".
