        Hi,

I am looking for supplier of new old stock Bantam(Mk1)/Round head student headstock gears.

I paid a large amount for one gear which was made by a UK company that makes spares for Colchesters and its finish was appalling so if possible I am looking for spares made by the original manufacturer

        Regards

        Eric

RDG tools stock some bantam gears, no idea if they are what you need go to their website and look for colchester bantam gears.
RDG do stuff a bit to a price, but I've been happy with all of the stuff i've bought for the price paid…. They will definitely talk to you if you ring them

Have you had a look in HPC gears in Chesterfield or Davall in Hatfield in Hertfordshire. In the past HPC would make special for a customer, but things have really changed. John

Don’t know if they are still trading but try Colchester lathe spares, as the name suggests they stock all kind of spares for the lathes, make sure you are sat down when they tell you the price though! Another option phone a few machine tool dealers, they might know of someone breaking machines for spares, before anyone points it out I realise you want new old stock but sometimes we have to take what we can get with these old machines.

Several sources in UK selling on ebay including 1 supplying gears made with Delrin.
