Where to buy cast iron blank

Hi Can anyone suggest somewhere to buy a 9" x 3" blank to make a back plate for a large 4 jaw chuck.

Those dimensions make me wonder if anyone has ever welded two discs together for this purpose?

Its for a Harrison 140 with a L-00 taper – i don't think welding two plates would suit
