I’m interested in trying to identify some tooling that came with my Grandad’s Myford lathe. There aren’t any makers name or identifying marks other than a “T”. Looking at it, possibly homemade.
It almost looks like it could be a fine adjustable toolholder for a boring bar.
Screwing in the round head screw would either change the height, or the depth of cut, depending on the axis.
Peter 1972, it looks like the tool fits in the groove tightened by the socket grub screw shown in your photo no3 with the tool adjustment to the left of the grub screw possibly?
Having recently made the Martin Cleeve swing tool post, I am wondering whether I can combine it with the useful feature of this tool – food for thought!
