Manor Court School is in Potsmouth UK. There were a number of these engines at a recent event at Eastney Pumping station in Portsmouth. They were built in the 70’s I think. Didn’t make thngs like that in school in my day

Must have gone to the wrong school, I made a beam engine amoung other things.

Not that one but very similar. Made a little wobbler at the local high school a few years back, spent most of the time helping others, including the teacher/ instructor. First job was to redign the motor to be more ecconomic with materials, and look a bit tidier. On the whole project saved over 50% on the brass frame. Ian S C
