Hi Fella's
Newbie to the group so looking forward to learning heaps. I am a retired Powerstation operator, done the steam Boiler, Turbine and Recip stm engines most of my life. Was a WorkSafe Assessor in those categories for many years, helping blokes get their tickets at no cost as a way of putting something back into the industry I had been in for 41 years. Has to let it go this year because of the cost.
Spend my days now buying old workshop machinery and restoring it.
I need some help if anyone can, I recently bought an old horizontal Milling Machine from the Sydney Bus Museum (what an awesome place, a must see for guys like us).
It was manufactured by Thomas Herbert & Co, Clarence Street, Sydney and it is a "Defiant" Milling Machine Floor Model No 80.
I have searched high and low for info, pics, whatever, as their must be others like it as it is an AUS bit of kit.
If anyone can help me with ifo or leads I would be forever grateful.
Take care fella's, regards, Gordie
