The posting window in Firefox

Evening all,

Just a small query.

I can't post messages in Firefox (23-0-01 version), the posting window does not appear but it's O.K. in IE from which I'm posting this message.

I've had a ferret around in Firefox tools/options but can't locate a solution.

Can anybody help me please?

This request was attached to another thread about small rotary tables but I thought I'd better make a separate issue of it before it gets lost in the ether!!

I tried logging out of the "forum" then logging back in again and it seems to have corrected itself.

I don't know how long it will last though!

Somebody suggested pressing F5 It worked for me

Which version of Windows are tou using?

I tried a number of OS/Browser combinations a few days ago and found that this site gives problems with Firefox on Windows 7 but works fine on Windows XP and various flavours of Linux. I'm pretty sure that the problem is with the site not your setup.

It happened to me ona Mac(with firefox) so it's not platform specific. A quick glissade up the function keys restored the post window. Not occurred since.

Morning all,

Russell, my setup is with Win 7.

When I logged in just now the posting window was there staring at me, I didn't have to faff around to get it.

I’ve given up on the text entry box .

I’ve found it far easier for a long time to open a real text editor in a separate window and paste across .

If text editor is in a quarter size window it can called up as needed and still leave most of main window readable .

It's java script, the whole net is a mess of advertising and bad bloatware

If I disable javascript I can jump around the net like a rabbit but a lot of stuff doesn't work without it

This place reloads almost instantly and it's great for browsing but you can't post messages etc
