Spotted some interesting tooling in a watchmakers shop in Pewsey while out for a walk

First one looks like a wheel cutting engine. Second a Mandril. Third watchmakers turns

On second thoughts the first could be a rounding up or topping engine for altering the form of wheel teeth or reducing the diameter of the wheel

Nice little shop that one. I always peer through the window.. Did you spot the Pewsey museum? It is down the road more or less opposite that shop. I have been meaning to pop in again to see a very old lathe (cannot recall the make). It is on display with some items including a traction engine built by the lathe owner. The lathe is American and was treadle drive but had been converted to electric.

There is a traction engine on their website front page.

I go into museums and see the sort of machinery I served my apprenticeship on.

When Aunty Grace and Uncle Fred used to keep the Royal Oak at Wootton Rivers in the '50's my brother and I used to walk from there to Pewsey through the lanes scoffing wild strawberries picked from the steep verges. I don't remember seeing that watchmakers shop in Pewsey though.
