Bought a job lot of good quality (German) new 30x sanding belts at the boot yesterday for a quid. Size is 25mm x 1065mm.

I seem to remember a while back that something like these belts could be fitted to a hand held power tool and act like a powered file but despite searching, I am unable now to find a tool that takes this size of belt.

      Any tips appreciated.

If you really mean the belt's length is 1065mm, I reckon that this implies a wheel to wheel centre of about 500mm, with the wheels being about 20 mm diam.- ball park figures onlt – too idle to work it out exactly. With a length of this order, it would seem to be too big for a handheld device.

Whoops, looked up belt sanders on ebay, found this :- http://www.dynabrade.com/pdf/lit/D98.16.pdf

Its a 762mm belted "Dynabrade" with an extender option to use your length belts. I wonder how much it costs?
