If its the one with a thread and 60deg cone on the end its hard as I have one in my hand and have tested it. Perhaps it might be better to make a new one from PGMS as in my previous post.
Yes, it is one of those, although mine appears not to be hardened as it can be filled quite easily.
If you are only looking at 3thou and 60mm long you could lap that in no time
True and I can see how that could help, but I want a slot so that a locating screw can be put in there to stop the shaft from spinning.
Just to clarify, the length of the slot is 60mm, not 600mm.
I am in Aylesbury, but the part is small enough to post easily.
