A friend/neighbour gave me a page out an very old Model Engineer Magazine and on the torn page it says ME exhibition 30 DEC 1959 – 9 Jan 1960 does that ring a bell. Interesting to me in the text, it relates to a book, the title of which is “Practical Armature Winding” and the author was A. H. AVERY. Has any one got the book and would they like to sell it to me. I have already looked else where.  John

This may help if you cannot find a physical copy for sale.

John , I am reasonably sure I have/had a copy of this book . Due to reorganisation my library in a bit of a mess at mo but I will check over the hols and come back to you . If I don’t have it then it would have been in the collection I supplied to Daisy Lane Books in Holmfirth.

I don’t have that book, but its companion:  “START YOUR OWN BUSINESS RE-WINDING ELECTRIC MOTORS”  by I.J.C.Banner  1975.

It’s mainly about re-winding field coils  (approx 100 x A4 pages)  I have re-wound several single phase motors, but it’s “hard” on your knuckles! It’s time I passed the book on or dispose as I will never re-wind another.

Let me know if you want it TODAY as I fly to the UK tomorrow, post from France is not cheap!
