I needed to make "'a small number of forum posts" in order to see contact details in the classified ads section, so that is the reason for this post.

I have some free photos to give away (just cost of postage required), the first of which (1950s photos of British steam locos) I just put under the classified ads. I have many mor of South African steam which I will advertise soon.

As you are giving them away, why not scan them so anyone interested could download them

I will consider scanning the photos, but the time and effort involved is putting me off at present. Especially since I have many more photos from South African railways.

I have also just advertised a book on the Quintinshill disaster in the classified ads under books.
