This perspective view of Orion could have been modelled in a 3D CAD program (with multiple scales).

Wish I'd thought of that.

I looked at that – and my brain hurt!!! 2000 light years!! Silly little brain cells can't accommodate the scale of that … distance that you can see described as a time! Astronomers are a different breed
