octagonal inserts

I want some octagonal inserts for a Maydown  100mm 7 tip facing cutter and they’re proving difficult to source. Anyone any ideas please?

These should be easy to obtain from your local engineers supplies company.

 

If anyone has some octagonal inserts for a Mitsubishi cutter, I would like 4 of them.

I don’t want to pay new price.

Have you tried J&L they do octagonal inserts both with & without holes

I have a Mitsubishi facemill that takes octagonal inserts & some spare inserts knocking about. I’ll check to see what type the cutter is and the type of insert and post again later.

 Ian, try phoning Greenwood Tools, they’ve always been able to find inserts that I’ve needed.

Maydown reference is OEMT 05 T3 TR. I have searched a few suppliers but to no avail. I’ll try J & L – couldn’t find them in my catalogue but the online is more up to date.
