I have just been asked by an elderly gentleman if the above material is available?

I have never heard of it, but this chap said that he did obtain a rod of the stuff a good few years ago. It is said to be nylon, impregnated with oil, quite how this is done, I don't know!

        Andrew.

I just put 'nyloil' into 'goggle' and it came up with loads of hits. It' the first thing I try.

                  Some manufacturers call it Oilon

Google comes up with loads of hits but most of them are industrial suppliers. I think Andrew was after a Retail source.

… if you don't mind a different brand name.

Search nylon oil filled rod to find uk suppliers.
