Newcomer from Coventry

Hi all,

Thought I'd try a new hobby so I bought myself a Warco Wm250 lathe. Last time I touched a lathe was 45 years ago and I didn't do a lot then. Just thought it would be nice to learn something new. Had the lathe about 6 weeks but have had to sort out a workshop. Numerous trips to the tip and then new benches to make, cupboards to put up etc and I,m nearly there. What will I use the lathe for? Well I have More than a passing interest in air rifles so a bit of gun smithing. Gyroscopes for the grandkids and maybe a simple sterling engine. The idea really though is to learn a bit.

Hello Brian,

Welcome to the forum, stirling engines can be a devil to get working, why not try a wobbler (oscillating steam engine) first? They always work
