Hello everyone, I purchased this project and I am completely lost in working our what locomotive it is based on. The rumour is it’s a Don Young RM1 but there seems to be inconsistencies when compared to such a loco.
If anyone can point me in the right direction I will be eternally grateful.

      Jim

Looks like a Don Young Railmotor No.3, based upon the S14 class, but with alterations, and the boiler barrel diameter should be 4 3/4" not 4 3/8".

Agree with Julian that it is a Rail Motor.

Thank you for the replies and to everyone who's looked at the post.

I did receive a 4 3/4 boiler barrel and a reeves 040 boiler kit with the loco too but it is missing some parts.

The next stage is to decide on making the boiler or getting it made.

              Thank you all.

              Jim
