Mystery tool

Can anyone identify this tool. I acquired it in a box of odds and sods. Screw marks on the shank suggest it has been mounted in a lathe toolpost.

looks like the lower mounting part of a roller filing rest. but missing the arm which the rollers are mounted on. I have one similar and will try and take a photo and post it up over the weekend.

Thanks for the replies. I think RRMBK might be right with the filing rest idea. If you could manage to take a picture of yours that would be helpful.
