Myford large bore S7 apron dismantleing

I have new half nuts to fit supplied by John Fawcett to whom I am grateful.I don't want to damage anything so am asking for assistance .I have removed the gib strip but how to remove the cam lever and the lock nut around it I am at a loss.Has anyone dismantled theirs and could offer advice please.

Yes Frank, I'll go and have a look to see if I can refresh my memory — its several years since I had mine in bits – original Myford days !

There is a grub screw that holds it in place located on the left hand side of the apron. It’s quite deep down so you can’t actually see the screw itself, but just put an Allen key down and it will locate. From memory it’s about 3/16” but dont quote me on that. You only need to undo it a few turns as it sits in a groove in the cam body to stop it pulling out.

Thaks Phil ,I have used that hole that the screw must be buried in to secure a stop holder ,I will be able to get on now.
