      @themerrymiller
      I have just purchased a nice Mitutoyo dial gauge on Ebay and it came with a miniature pickle fork accessory, (see pics).

      I haven’t been able to work out how it is used yet all though I am still working on it.
      Can anybody enlighten me please.

      I certainly haven’t come across anything like it before.

      Its about 2 3/4″ long.

          Hi There
          Screws on the top of the gauge so you can lift the plunger up.
          regards David

            I think I’ve sussed it now, it bolts onto the side of the gauge and the fork section locates in a groove at the back end of the plunger (once you’ve removed the back end cap)
            It then acts as a retractor for the main stem and stops your little pinkies getting jammed up in your work, at least I think that’s what it’s for.

            I’ve never seen this on any other dial gauge.
