Minnie Traction – More Help needed

I have made the Gap piece, but I cannot find which is the front and which the rear !!.

At one end there is a 3/8" overlap, and at the other it is 1/4" .

I need t know, as I cannot proceed with marking out the the Rilling rrig. in that there is 1/8" at front, and 1/4" qat tghe rear face.

Alas I have been in hospital for a while, but am now bacck and active (slowly !!)

I have almost completed the boiler, and will put photos up,when it is done.

The Smokebox Gap Piece.

The shorter butt strap that goes inside the gap piece should be set back 1/4" from the front of the smokebox and 3/8" from the rear.

If you have the box read the last line of page 89 and first of page 91

Thank you both for your very prompt response.. Yes Neil it is good to be home and IK would rather eat hear than in Hospital !!

Jason. Just the info I needed.It just show how stupid I am becoming, as I had highlighted page 89 and 91, but was looking at he plans and not the bible. Hopefully I can now make more progress.
