Minnie Traction Engine – Backhead Fittings

In Mason's Book there are photos – Plate IX and VII that show 6 seemingly silver soldered in and arc below the Firebox door. I can find no reference to what these are either in the book, or on the plans, can anyonr tell me what they are, and what I need to do.

I haven't built one but have the book. Looking at the photos they appear to be stays (see page 32).

Edit: As far as I know, you have to link to the image either in your own cloud storage (if you have any) or by creating an album on this website and placing the image there.

As said they are stays, page 32 paragraph 3 covers them and they are shown n teh drawings

Don't make them like they are shown on the metric drawings, like so many things they are wrong.
