Hi Guys,
Amonst my late fathers "junk" I've found a tin containing numerous milling cutters. Unfortunately all but one are heavily rusted due to years of damp. One, however, wrapped in wax paper survived, stained but still sharp.

I'm curious to know what it might have fitted as I've been unable to identify the taper (per Machinery Handbook).
As I don't have a milling machine I propose to bore a matching taper into a piece of 3/4" bar then after pulling the cutter firmly into the adapter machine the whole beween centres so that I can use it in a 3 jaw chuck
