Making a dovetail cutter

I’m going to attempt to make a dovetail cutter for the centec2 that will be mounted directly into the spindles mt2 . What would suitable material should I use . Should the cutter be an carbide insert or hss. The dovetail is for mounting the vertical head I’m also attempting to make .

IIRC some time ago I read an article/thread that a member had made a dovetail cutter with a single carbide insert, I believe he made the holder from silver steel. you would have to trawl through the forum posts to locate it.
