How to copy existing post into new post

I have still got a lot to learn about posting and at the moment I can't see how to insert another's post, as a reference, into mine. Colin

Just under your message use "Quote".

The gotcha is that you have to line- feed / new line / down arrow or whatever, to get rid of the line down the side of the quoted text. If not done your new text looks as if its part of that quoted.

Or click one line below the quote – quote creates a single line without the mark at the bottom.

And don't forget you can edit the quote in the usual way after it has been inserted in your posting box if you don't want to use all of it.
