How do I delete my account here?

If I can't delete it myself I would like a moderator or administrator to do it for me.

      Thanks.

I can virtually delete you but we are still waiting for the last bit of software to totally remove a member.

Done it now, you should not have been able to post that last reply.

As always just a little behind here.
What is the benifit of having ones account deleted vs not visiting the forum?

I just can't work out why someone would want to delete their account. It's not as if it would cost you anything to keep it, your posts don't vanish and you effectively lock yourself out of the forum.

                        Each to their own though,

Or perhaps a forum troll keeping their main user I’D and dumping a second account!
Thought it a bit curious that two users requested accounts to be closed in quick succession!
Who knows what goes on behind the scenes!

Its so that the steam police don't come and take you away! They come in the night for people who set their safety valves that little bit higher than they should. You know who you are!

I wonder if I should totally delete my account and start again.

My reason for a while I have no email notifications of threads, if I change my password it removes the old but will not install the new one.

Neil had to send the password to me he also tried to sort the other problems out for me but still the same.

Other forums no problems it all seems to have started when I upgraded to Windows 7 and Norton 360.

My old spare PC with XP and AVG has the same problems now with this site.

There has been many suggestions to the problems and have been in contact with my provider and no solution as yet.

                                Windy,

Norton 360 and also Norton Internet Security can be a little frustrating if you have the Identity safe feature set to auto-fill your logins. If you have a new password for a website Norton will use your old one unless you tell it to save the new one when you first enter it into the login/password fields, but it can be manually updated in identity safe if necessary. You may already know this of course.

                                Regards,
                                Ed.
