Hot metal print mould

Well it's not a metal cutting tool it's a hot metal type line mould. Cicero is the size of the font not a maker. The block is the slug mould and would have brass letter moulds on one side and the flat plate fits on the other side and lets the liquid metal in through the narrow slot, then is slid across cutting off the excess metal and allowing the piece on the far left of the picture to be used to push the slug out.
The brass letter moulds were cut into long brass rods each of a different length so after use could be sorted by their length. The whole set up was part of a bigger machine.

So the question is has anyone seen this before? Any old printers out there?
I have a few of these from my uncle but he had already sold the machine and the brass moulds were stolen a few days after he died. I've always wondered what the rest of the machine looked like.

Search for linotype or Intertype machine

There's a few left in use but mainly now as display machines in receptions

Thanks but I think it is rather smaller than a linotype/monotype machine. Even smaller than a Ludlow. Probably something designed for the small town print shop doing cards and invitations not the local newspaper.

I sent all my father's books and information on Monotype machines to the 'Printing ' museum in Edinburgh, I'm sure they would be pleased to receive items like those above too.
